In 1971, Steve Hackett joined Genesis and released six studio efforts, Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England By the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, A Trick of the Tail, and Wind & Wuthering. During his time with Genesis, the band was on the rise and gaining incredible prominence. Hackett left Geneis in 1977 and embarked on his solo career. In 1975, he released his debut album, The Voyage of the Acolyte. Soon enough, he released his most famous albums, Please Don’t Touch and Spectral Mornings in 1978 and 1979. Hackett has notably released a total of 28 studio albums, including a Genesis tribute, Genesis Revisited in 1996. In 2010, Hackett was inducted along with Genesis at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his contributions to music.
