Us here at the Ryman - our musical chapel in the heart of Nashville are thrilled to welcome Ziggy Marley and Burning Spear to the stage on Monday, October 6th for what promises to be a powerful and unforgettable night on the 2025 Do The Reggae Tour. Ziggy Marley and Burning spear - to have these two legends share a stage at the historic Ryman? That’s not just a concert — it’s a spiritual moment in the making. Ziggy Marley is the Grammy-winning reggae icon and eldest son of reggae legend Bob Marley. He has carried the torch of his family’s legacy with grace, groove, and soulful music that has touched millions of listeners around the world. From launching his career with the Melody Makers as a preteen to touring the globe as a solo artist, Ziggy has spent a lifetime making music that unites cultures across the world. The Melody Makers released eight albums during their run — including the Conscious Party album, which earned them a Grammy in 1988 — and even delivered the ever iconic theme song for the cartoon Arthur. Since their split in 2002, Ziggy’s been on his own journey, producing award-winning records and keeping the roots of reggae alive in every note. And then there’s Burning Spear — like, literally the living legend himself. Winston Rodney has been a cornerstone of the genre since the '70s, and his music carries the weight of history, resistance, and Rastafarian soul. “Burning Spear is one of our great fathers… this is a blessing, a once in a lifetime experience for me,” Ziggy said when the tour was announced, inviting fans to be part of something deeper than just a show.
There’s truly no better venue for this than the Ryman — the Mother Church of Country Music, now turning into a reggae sanctuary for one night only. The acoustics are unmatched. The history is thick. And when Ziggy and Spear bring their energy into that room? It’s going to move through your bones and into your spirit.
So yeah y’all. This is the gathering of generations. A celebration of rhythm, resilience, and roots - you already know we’ll be talking about this for years. Assemble the crew, grab your tickets, and let's dance the night away with two of the greatest to ever do it.
See you in Nashville. Let’s Do The Reggae.
